The Shore That Returns
Why a personal site should feel like a homecoming, not a launch.
A launch points outward — look at this new thing, it begins now. A homecoming points inward — this was always here, and you have finally arrived at it.
I prefer the second posture for a place that holds a body of work. Tools, essays, experiments: none of them are announcements. They are things that wandered out and are, slowly, trying to come back to one shore.
So this is not a landing page. It is a harbour light. The work sails toward it, and so, I suppose, do you.
